Added periodic boundary condition tracking and HEALPix support in https://github.com/FlexTRKR/PyFLEXTRKR/pull/110

  1. Support for data with periodic boundary condition (e.g., idealized model simulations, global data). Added by @laurapaccini.
  2. Support for HEALPix data (in Zarr format) for Digital Earth Global Hackathon. Added by @feng045.

PyFLEXTRKR - Compatibility and MCS tracking updates

This release contains the following major updates:

  • Updated various syntax and advection function to work with new version of Python packages (#79)
  • Updated MCS movement calculations, including direction and speed filtering (#84)
  • Added capability to track convective cells with composite (2D) reflectivity input (#86)

PyFLEXTRKR - Sub-minute tracking support

Added sub-minute tracking support on all feature tracking.

  • The intermediate and final pixel-level mask files now have seconds in the filenames (e.g., yyyymmdd_hhmmss).
  • Analysis and visualization codes have been updated to work with the new files.
  • Added MCS tracking using collocated Tb + 3D radar reflectivity + precipitation.
  • Added generic 2D feature tracking with two methods to define objects.
