  • Use the new theme_nmfs() function to do two things at once:

    1. add a theme to your ggplot object (setting elements such as label sizes, borders, axis lines, and more)
    2. indicate your nmfs color palette

  • This means that you can write one line of code, rather than two, to set a theme and color palette. Using theme_nmfs() means that you don't have to explicitly use scale_color_nmfs() or scale_fill_nmfs(), as they're applied within theme_nmfs().

nmfspalette - Update to new 2022 colors

A new branding guide was released in 2022. The colors were updated in July 2023 and I am now incrementing the version in the tag and DESCRIPTION.
