1. hvstat_africa_data_v1.0.csv

A harmonized dataset of subnational crop statistics.

Data Structure:

Column Name Description
fnid FEWS NET's unique geographic unit identifier
country Country name
country_code ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country code
admin_1 First-level administrative unit name
admin_2 Second-level administrative unit name (if applicable)
product Crop product name
season_name Name of the growing season
planting_year Planting start year
planting_month Planting start month
harvest_year Harvest end year
harvest_month Harvest end month
crop_production_system Crop production system (e.g., irrigated, rainfed)
qc_flag Quality control flag (0 = none, 1 = outlier, 2 = low variance)
area Cropped area (hectares)
production Production volume (metric tonnes)
yield Yield (metric tonnes per hectare)

2. hvstat_africa_boundary_v1.0.gpkg

A GeoPackage file containing FEWS NET-aligned administrative boundaries, linked to crop data via fnid.

3. Readme.md

A markdown file containing information about the dataset.

4. fdw_raw_data_v1.0.zip

A zipped archive of raw country-level FEWS NET Data Warehouse (FDW) data for all 33 countries. Includes:
