The package is inspired in the `chillR` package [@R-chillR] and produces compatible outputs. `dormancyR` also contains functions to download and handle historic ([Center for Climate and Resilience Research](\u003chttps://www.cr2.cl\u003e)) and up-to-date ([Agrometeorologia - INIA](\u003chttps://agrometeorologia.cl/\u003e)) weather data from Chilean databases.
